One Friday: Four Futures
The Conversations
Host a Conversation

Thank you for your interest in engaging your community or organization in a region-wide dialogue about the future of health care in Western New York. Hosting a conversation is easy – the Reaching for Excellence project team will do the work, and we ask only that you provide an interested audience and the space to hold a discussion about our region’s health care future.
How it Works
The conversation will feature a brief presentation of four scenarios, or stories, of potential health care futures for Western New York, each of which presents a unique, realistic future for the region based on different health and other policy decisions being made today. The focus of the conversations is the audience’s response to these stories and its perspectives on health care priorities for the future. Feedback from your group’s discussion and others taking place across the region will be assembled and reported back to the community.
A two-person team provided by the Reaching for Excellence project will lead the conversation, presenting the four stories and then facilitating a discussion with the audience.
The entire conversation will last no more than one hour and a half.
Here's what you'll do as a conversation host:
Invite people to the conversation (use our customizable invitation)
Provide a place for your conversation participants to gather. Make sure there's enough seating for everyone.
(Optional) Bring some light refreshments for the audience (e.g., coffee, water, snacks)
